Experience the awesome force that Mother Nature demonstrates to us.

You'd think you could touch them when you fly on a plane. The reality is, your hand would pass through them. Your hand would be damp. But think about it. These things create the oldest and most deadly phenomena, our weather.
Stonehenge, England. One of the oldest structures in the world. It has seen many sunsets, but not many that look this beautiful.
From the clouds comes the lightning. This conglomeration was captured out the window of an apartment building right before a tornado struck. I doubt that Ben Franklin ever saw anything as unique and terrifying as this.
And the grandmaster...the tornado. This Iowa tornado was one of the first of the year. Although it claimed no lives, its winds reached 300 mph, and it caused millions of dollars in damage. Always listen to your radio when the sky gets green. You never know.
In the calm after the storm, Mother Nature offers her most beautiful displays for us. Maybe it is to give hope that such disasters aren't of ill will. One of her grandest and rarest images is the rainbow. It is created by the sun's reflection through rain. But, can you find this pot of gold??
Ahh, my favorite. The sunset. They are different everywhere you go. One of my personal favorites is the sunset across Lake Michigan from Chesterton, IN. The skyline of Chicago, IL is a tiny interruption in the beauty, but it adds huimanity. Another is Silver Lake, MI. About thirty miles south of Ludington, Little Sable Point at Silver Lake is one of the most beautiful places I have seen at sunset. My new favorite is Mt. Bonnell here in Austin. Let me tell you, it is like the Smoky Mountains without the bugs. But I guess I can't beat this Florida photo.
